Jon has just finished an arrangement of the overture of Baligh Hamdi’s “Alf Leila Wa Leila” which was written for legendary Arabic vocalist, Oum Kalthoum, in 1969. The arrangement is scored for flute, harp, string quartet, and percussion for an International Music Festival at DePauw University School of Music taking place on March 16, 2016. The piece will also be performed in a public performance on April 3, 2016.
