At least one Sunday of every month, Surface Noise will present Sunday Strings & Things, a primarily acoustic showcase featuring old timey string bands, singer-songwriters, improv, and/or classical performances.
In May 2019 Jamie Colvin (violin) and Jon Silpayamanant (cello) will perform the Ravel Sonata for violin and cello as well as other duets from various composers and genres.
Surface Noise events are free and open to all. They are dog-friendly, so long as your dog gets along with Darby, and kid-friendly, though we can offer no guarantees concerning child-appropriate content. A $5-10 dollar donation is requested, with all proceeds going to the performers. Don’t let that discourage you if you’re broke, however–we want you here regardless.
