Jon will be participating in an Oral History project with the Music of Asian American Research Center. This is part of the Documenting Asian American Community Music Ensembles (DAACME) initiative taking four years that “will culminate with the creation of an exhibit about music-making in Asian American communities.”
The Music of Asian America Research Center (MAARC) strives to increase knowledge and awareness of Asian American history and experience through collecting and conducting research on materials related to music-making by Asian Americans.
Our programs disseminate information about Asian American cultures and open difficult questions about race, immigration, mental health and trauma, economic inequities, and many other issues.
