See the world premiere of Jon Silpayamanant’s “Homrong Isaan” for full orchestra and “From Dream Till Dusk” for chamber orchestra on the final concert of Manchester Symphony Orchestra’s 2022-2023 season.

“Homrong Isaan” explores incorporating Thai music genres and styles in a symphony orchestra setting; incorporating sounds familiar to mid 20th century Thai popular music, Piphat ensemble, and Isaan folk.

“From Dream Till Dusk” has elements reminiscent of the lush Algerian Rai and Malaysian Zapin dance string playing while incorporating compositional methods used in global Islamicate music styles.

This “Arts Potpourri” concert will also include MSO conductor and composer Debra Lynn’s “Kandinsky Suite” in collaboration with the Mikautadze Dance Theatre and Jewish Dutch composer’s “Schemselnihar”

The event is a live concert that will be live streamed from the Cordier Auditorium. For more info about purchasing live ticket or streaming info, please visit this link: https://www.manchestersymphonyorchestra.org/tickets
