Music of Asia Presentation at Scribner Middle School

saw-u.jpgToday I'm giving presentations to Scribner Middle School general music classes on the music of Asia.  I'll be focusing on mostly Central Asian music and music from Asia Minor (and the Middle East) as well as Far Eastern Music.

IUS International Festival (New Albany, IN)

Arabic Music.jpgMousa Alradwan Jr (vocals, oud, percussion) will be joining me for an appearance at the IUS International Festival this Tuesday (March 6, 2012).  We'll be performing and singing tunes from Iraq, Spain, Albania, Azerbaijan including some improvisational numbers and a drum solo.  Our set will begin at 7:15 and will end at 8PM.

On Saturday, the il Troubadore Klingon Music Project will make an appearance in Chicago for a meet/greet and performance with Orion bellydancer, Deserae, for the cast of 'A Klingon Christmas Carol.'  This is a private event and not open to the public but info about the details may be found here.
