The Music Department at Indiana University Southeast will present the IU Southeast Concert Choir & Community Chorus with the IU Southeast Orchestra on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the Ogle Center on the university’s campus, 4201 Grant Line Road in New Albany. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for students, and are available at the Ogle Center ticket office, by calling (812) 941-2525, or online at oglecenter.com.
The program will feature choruses from popular operas, including the “Anvil Chorus” from IL TROVATORE, “Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves” from NABUCCO, “Brindisi” and “Matador’s Chorus” from LA TRAVIATA by Giuseppe Verdi, “Priests’ Chorus” from DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE by W. A. Mozart, “Spinning Chorus” from DER FLIEGENDE HOLLÄNDER and “Bridal Chorus” from LOHENGRIN by Richard Wagner, and “Easter Hymn” from CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA by Pietro Mascagni, “Bell Chorus” from I PAGLIACCI by Ruggero Leoncavallo. Soloists will include Amanda Tewell, Sarah Porter, and Whitney Bailey, sopranos, and Tyler Pavey, tenor.
Free parking is available in the Dogwood lot directly in front of the Ogle Center and in the Hickory lot directly behind the Ogle Center from one hour prior to the start of the performance until one hour following the end of the performance. Vehicles parked in other locations and/or at other times will be subject to ticketing.
