What better way to celebrate than by continuing to play cello rep from all around the world:
This year on Global Cello events (and related Saw Peep Pan-Asian Ensemble events) I’ve had the pleasure of performing works by 23 composers (16 women; 7 men) from 15 countries (Afghanistan, Armenia, Australia, Austria, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Philippines, Thailand, Turkey, Spain, and the US) in addition to a couple dozen composed and folk tunes I’ve adapted/arranged for solo cello.
I’m constantly adding resources for the history, repertoire, and pedagogy of cello playing traditions around the world, in addition to actively using them in performance and teaching. Those may be found here:
