“La Flor de Manila” *1879) is a composition by Dolores Paterno y de Vera-Ignacio (1854-1881), a Filipina composer who died just two years after its composition. Also titled Sampaguita, the tune exists in early versions for piano solo and piano and voice. It is the only know composition by her.

This arrangement for Saw Peep Pan-Asian Ensemble is scored for flute, violin, cello, percussion, and bass and was first rehearsed on Sunday, 2026 May 31 during Saw Peep’s regular weekly rehearsal at the Louisville Title Building, 223 South 5th Street, Louisville, Kentucky.
