DESCRIPTION:  \nJon and Roxell are pleased to announce that we will be part of this year’s Connect at Bernheim Forest! We’re doubly pleased to announce we will be working with local dancer/choregrapher and member of the Louisville Ballet \, Ashley Thursby Kern!\n\nConnect starts at 5:20\, our performance begins a little after dusk\, roughly 8:30.\n\nLook for us on the east side of the lake\, next to the Garden Pavilion. She received her formal training at age 9 from the Kansas City Ballet School and went on to study at The School of American Ballet\, San Francisco Ballet School\, Lines Pre-Professional Program and Jillana. After graduating Valedictorian of her high school class Ashley went from living in a town of 5\,000 to a campus of 472\,000+ during her studies at Indiana University. She had the opportunity to train and receive private coaching from Violette Verdy\, Cynthia Gregory\, Michael Vernon\, Jacques Cesbron and Guoping Wang. She finished her degree in Ballet and Journalism in 2008 and went on to dance with the Louisville Ballet\, for whom she has danced with for the past 8 seasons. In addition to dancing Ashley teaches both Ballet and Pilates\, and loves to choreograph when she can.
