Intro

“Tides & Core” was a performance art piece developed and performed by Christine Olson. It was was part of CORE: A Live Art Show, which took place over the course of two days on November 9th and 10th, 2012 at the Commonwealth Art Gallery in Madison, Wisconsin. Jon Silpayamanant/Noiseman433 accompanied the work live with cello and electronics which was performed November 9.

Artist Statement

This was the main performance in a show based on the idea of how the internal landscape intersects with one’s surroundings. The performances starts out self-inclusive, disconnected and confined. It manifests to the surface and becomes more fluid, extending to everything else—waking up.
